Tea Party Anyone?

I finished my knitted chocolates for T's birthday!  She just turned 2, and LOVES to have tea parties.  What better way to enjoy a cup of tea than with some chocolate?

I got the idea from HipKnits, and Kerrie graciously e-mailed me the patterns!  I just used random yarn from my stash (Cascade 220, Goddess Boucle, Rowan Kid Classic, and my Prague yarn).  The only bummer is my work schedule won't allow me to deliver them in person   So I'll have to take a rain check on the party.

Well, back to work.  I have an interview tomorrow and some Fetching gloves to finish!

Later, L.

It's So Much Better...When Seafoam Green Is In Fashion!

Yay!  Another entry!  I finally got off my lazy butt to take pictures of my summer projects.

First off, I finished my birthday socks!

How cute!  Too bad it's 100 degrees outside

Secondly, I made a dishcloth for my Mom for Mother's Day...

As everyone knows, this is from the new Mason Dixon book.  I used Peaches & Cream I had lying around with the pink donated by Mauvely.

I also made a felted oven mitt for my aunt's birthday, using Cascade 220.  I forgot to take a picture before giving it away, oh well.

Finally, my latest project (finished just 10 minutes ago)...

Ta da!  I saw this on Knitty.com.  I used one ball of the RYC Cashsoft DK I bought in London.  The color is PERFECT!  I'm super excited for the temperature to drop like 60 degrees, maybe more?

I'm currently working on a few things, including another pair of fetching for my roommate, more socks for Christmas presents, and some chocolates for my little cousin's second birthday.  Thanks to Kerrie at Hipknits.com (June 16 entry), T can have the coolest tea parties ever!  Once I'm finished and get a sweet box for the presentation, I'll have pictures.  Until then...

Later! L.

Man, I totally suck at weblogs.  I guess I have a good excuse though...

Yep, doesn't look like much, but that is my senior design team with the wonderful building we created out of thin air.  Since last September I have devoted ALL of my time (not to mention precious knitting time) to the design and engineering of that building.  Looking back, it was totally worth it, but I'm glad to be done with it.

Now, on to the knitting!  I haven't posted any projects since I got home from Europe (11 months ago...tear), so I have to organize a huge photo shoot of all my projects.  First I have to think of everything I've done.  So, for right now, I'm going to make a list and add pictures soon:

Rowan sweater (tragically, I made the front and back completely wrong and have to do some major frogging/re-knitting)

Cleaves

One-Skein Wonder

Harry Potter scarf (you can the finished product on Mauvely's site)

Alpaca scarf for Dad

Felted Slippers (not felted)

Another hat for Shipley (finally made the correct size after 3 tries)

Noro Scarf from Last Minute Knitted Gifts

Sophie purse for Melissa's birthday

Socks (currently suffering from second sock syndrome)

I got this cool sock yarn from Mauvely for my birthday!  I actually finished the first sock and have about an inch done on the second one.  I also got some natural wool and Kool-aid so she and I can hopefully make our own cool yarn this summer!

Woo hoo!  We've been talking about Kool-aid dye for a while.  Now that it's summer, we can do it!  Hopefully I can get back into the knitting world soon.  It's been driving me crazy not being able to knit.  I have a few ideas for projects that I want to do before school takes over my life again in 3 months.  Stay posted!  I'm going to clean my room and prepare my projects for their photo shoot :)

Later, L
